On behalf of our client, Miljonbemanning is now looking for an experienced bus mechanic, vehicle technician, or truck mechanic with strong competence in electronics, electrical measurement, and troubleshooting. The client is an established player in the bus, public transport, and vehicle maintenance sector, working daily to ensure that vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for traffic.
As a mechanic specializing in electricity and troubleshooting, you will play a key role in the workshop's work to identify, analyze, and rectify technical faults on buses and heavy vehicles. This role suits you if you have several years of documented experience in electronics and troubleshooting, preferably from buses of brands such as Scania and Volvo Bus.
Job DescriptionAs a bus mechanic or vehicle technician, you will work with troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of buses and heavy vehicles. A central part of the role is working with the vehicles' electronic systems, engine control, exhaust gas purification, and internal communication systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing advanced troubleshooting on buses and heavy vehicles.
- Working with engine control and vehicle-related electronics.
- Troubleshooting and rectifying faults related to exhaust gas purification systems, e.g., Euro 6.
- Working with door systems, e.g., Ventura or similar systems.
- Using measurement methods for CAN-bus and other internal vehicle electronics.
- Reading, analyzing, and following up on error codes and diagnostic results.
- Performing electrical measurements and systematic troubleshooting.
- Documenting performed work according to current procedures.
- Collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and other functions in the workshop.
- Contributing to high traffic safety, operational reliability, and quality in delivery.
The work suits you if you have a genuine technical interest and enjoy working systematically with troubleshooting. You need to be able to analyze problems, trace fault sources, and work meticulously even when faults are complex or recurring.
Who We Are Looking For- Several years of documented experience as a bus mechanic, vehicle technician, or truck mechanic.
- Good experience in troubleshooting electronics on heavy vehicles.
- Experience with Scania, Volvo Bus, or equivalent vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of engine control and electronic control systems.
- Experience with exhaust gas purification systems, preferably Euro 6.
- Knowledge of door systems, e.g., Ventura or similar systems.
- Understanding of CAN-bus, internal vehicle electronics, and relevant measurement methods.
- Confident in using diagnostic tools, measuring instruments, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently, methodically, and solution-oriented.
- Good teamwork skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to communicate in Swedish or English, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you have documented education, diploma, or certificate in electrical measurement, vehicle electronics, or troubleshooting. It is also meritorious if you have previously worked in a bus workshop, with public transport vehicles, or in service and maintenance of heavy vehicles.
Other InformationThis is a staffing assignment via Miljonbemanning.
The position is full-time with a location south of Stockholm, in Södertälje. Working hours are weekdays, Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00.
The work is performed in a workshop environment and may involve both planned maintenance and more urgent troubleshooting efforts depending on the business's needs.
